After trying a few different career paths, Jenn concluded that working with animals and their families was where she was supposed to be. For her, caring for pets and making their families comfortable and secure is a dream come true!

Jenn was born in Bermuda, where she spent much of her childhood learning how to swim before she could walk! She then moved to England with her parents before moving to Halifax, Canada a few years later. After that, the family moved to Oakville, where they’ve lived ever since.

In July of 2011, Jenn started working at the clinic part-time while working full-time in the retail management world. She realized her part-time job working with animals was a great de-stressor, and changed careers when she was offered a full-time position in July of 2013. She’s been here ever since!

At home, Jenn lives with her husband Carl and their extended family of pets. They have three dogs: Nikita, a 12-year-old Rottweiler, and Lila and Titan, both mini dachshunds. Jenn and Carl also own four leopard geckos named Diablo, Karis, Onyx, and Reign.

In her spare time, Jenn stays active by snowboarding, scuba diving, and playing beach volleyball. She also likes catching good movies.

Natalie was born and raised in Meadowvale Ontario where she still lives with her parents and their family dog Shaggy. They have been passionate pet owners for a long time now owning both dogs and cats. After they had to put their last dog down a few years ago they took some time in between owning pets. Finally, a few years later they were ready to open up their hearts again and adopted Shaggy from a rescue shelter. He has made the perfect new addition to their family!

Growing up she has always had a love for animals and knew from a young age that working in an animal care position was her goal. She studied at the University of Guelph to obtain her Bachelors of Science with a major in zoology and a minor in ecology. Since then she has volunteered at a few animal care institutions to further her experience. Most recently she volunteered her time at the raptor centre at Mountsberg conservation area where she aided in caring for the many birds of prey that live there.

Working at the Animal Hospital of River Oaks has helped her to realize at working in the veterinary field is where her passion lies. She hopes to further her education by returning to school one day to study further in the veterinary field and become a registered veterinary technician.
