After trying a few different career paths, Jenn concluded that working with animals and their families was where she was supposed to be. For her, caring for pets and making their families comfortable and secure is a dream come true!

Jenn was born in Bermuda, where she spent much of her childhood learning how to swim before she could walk! She then moved to England with her parents before moving to Halifax, Canada a few years later. After that, the family moved to Oakville, where they’ve lived ever since.

In July of 2011, Jenn started working at the clinic part-time while working full-time in the retail management world. She realized her part-time job working with animals was a great de-stressor, and changed careers when she was offered a full-time position in July of 2013. She’s been here ever since!

At home, Jenn lives with her husband Carl and their extended family of pets. They have three dogs: Nikita, a 12-year-old Rottweiler, and Lila and Titan, both mini dachshunds. Jenn and Carl also own four leopard geckos named Diablo, Karis, Onyx, and Reign.

In her spare time, Jenn stays active by snowboarding, scuba diving, and playing beach volleyball. She also likes catching good movies.

As a kid, Ebony would find herself following the equine veterinarian around the horse stables, listening as he explained his procedures to young Ebony. When she wasn’t soaking up knowledge about animals, she was rescuing injured ones until they were healthy enough to be released back into the wild. Ebony simply can’t imagine herself doing anything else except working in animal care!

Ebony moved to Canada from England at a very young age. She’s called Oakville home for the past nine years. Now she’s a Receptionist at the Animal Hospital of River Oaks, where she answers client questions, makes appointments, reports medical information, and assists Dr. Gold whenever needed. She particularly likes the warm and friendly atmosphere of the clinic, and truly feels like she’s part of one big family!

Ebony currently lives with her parents, sister, and their little Jack Russell named Chloe. In the summer, you can find Chloe swimming laps around the pool, and in the winter she enjoys exercising on the treadmill.

As long as she can remember, Ebony has lived a very active lifestyle. Her free time includes anything from rugby and soccer to hiking and trail biking. When Ebony isn’t at work or furthering her animal care studies, she can be found at the stables helping out with horses and riding when she has a spare moment.
